You  will be riding a short course with a start and finish check-in.
Come and ride early, at your leisure, and then join the group for lunch.
We are going to start the Awards Ceremony no later than 1:00pm.
We will set up in the shade outside,  but if a little rain comes along we'll move inside the barn.

We 're still needing information on the following:

**Superior Senior Horses - Horses 20 years and up. We would like to have a short paragraph to be read about them**

** Junior Riders 12 years and Under - Rider Name and age, Horse's Name ridden and Division ridden**

Please email us the above information as soon as possible.
As usual, registered riders at Year-End will receive the Wild Card

With that being said, we are imploring everyone to fill out registration forms completely and write legibly or use an address label, which include complete mailing addresses, division riding, Emergency Contacts, emails, and telephone numbers.
Please include ages for Junior Riders.

Events Q and A

How do I register?

You register the day of the event in person and pay entry fees at that time. Please bring a current Coggins document as well as your horse!  We usually have a copy of the entry form (they are provided by our Hosts and vary) as well as a flier posted on the event a couple of weeks prior,  associated with each event.

Safety!

Helmets are required. It is also a good idea to carry a cell phone and have the event organizers number in your contacts. Phone numbers are usually posted on the Flyer or as a part of each event (below).

How Long are Rides?
The length varies from event to event but are usually between six (6) and twelve (12) miles. Part of the fun is not knowing exactly how long your ride will be. The individual flyers should also give you some brief info as to the terrain and any other particularities to that individual Event.

How Does It All Work?

Events are scheduled for a season, usually from August through the following Spring. Events are usually  a couple of weeks (or more) apart with a break during December.  Each Event is run by a Sponsor location on a trail that they have set up for the Event.  People who want to ride in these Events, show up the day of the ride with their Coggins, Helmet and Horse.  There are fees and each Sponsor determines the exact amount.  Riders  pick one of two divisions and follow the course.  The winners are riders who complete the course and are closest to the Time. The Time is either averaged or a pre determined pace (set by a rider at the venue the day of the event). Points are given to Riders and at the end of the season totaled to determine Series Winners in each of the two divisions.
One of the best ways to enjoy the series is to team up with someone who is already familiar with all the fun!
